QuadriviUm Institute

FORM and MOVEMENT IN COMPLEX SYSTEMS

The Quadrivium Institute brings together mathematicians, designers, movement and sound artists, and complexity scientists to share research, dialogue, and connect with traditions of studying form and movement in complex systems. This institute pedagogy extends beyond occidental mathematics to include global lineages of analyzing form at rest and in motion, including such practices as mental calculation techniques from the Vedic tradition and experiential navigation practices from a variety of embodied ways of knowing.

The first Quadrivium Institute is being developed in partnership with Slow Research Lab, and will take place in August 2018, with applications available Jan 1, 2018.
